When giving my van the annual checks I discovered the support arrangement for the underslung waste water tank was looking a bit shabby. It's made of powder coated mild steel and has suffered with road salt. Strangely, the fresh water tank supports are galvanised.

Went to a pal who made me up a stainless replacement, it is even lighter than the original and should see me out.

Why use powder coated mild steel in the first place? False economy in my opinion. It's on a Bessacarr E560 for interest.

Good job but...

...had you just left your waste tap open then the tank wouldn't need such sturdy support.

JJ

Surely dangerous chemicals will leach into the ground and kill all life within 100 miles.

Total cost was a case of beer and a dozen 13mm stainless bolts. Not worried about it being upside down, it won't fill up as quickly now!
