Many functors clearly have a 'UK must see' list, most members will have travelled the UK many times so who better to start letting others know of the best times to see top monuments; the best hidden gems you really should see or specialist shopping places that are off the beaten track. I am sure with your help these lists can be doubled in length.

Not unknown or hidden gems, but a couple of definitely "top monuments" and definitely "must-see":
  • Stokesay castle (which isn't actually a castle)
  • Beaumaris castle (which is)

a local site to us is Castell Coch often used in "fairy tale " type film productions;

the inside is also stunning;

its quite small so a good visit on a pass by north of Cardiff just off the A470

Hi.
The New Forest,sundown in late summer/autumn. Get on a high bit of ground,so the ponies are between you and the low sun and see the sunlight picking out the glinting colours as it shines through/picks out strands of hair in their tails,magic. It was looking back down to where i had just walked up with the growler,i saw it for the first time. The location ? walk from,"Pig Bush" car park,down to the bottom flat, turn right,go along until near the r/way line,then make your way back to the car park
Having said that,we liked it so much,we moved down there for a few years,and were back there this year. Go on,you know your worth it,enjoy.

Any of the lumpy, lochy or islandy bits of Scotland. (When weather and clouds of midges allow you to see them) :)
Agreed, but could you please not all go at the same time, or when I'm there.
Thanking you in advance. :D

Some of the best scenery is in Scotland, do the Whisky Trail, take a tour. Take the tram up the Cairngorms. See the salmon ladder in Pitlochry. Take a gliding lesson on Deeside or Loch Leven. Have a steak in Stonehaven Harbour.

Be prepared to do this more than once, weather is everything.

Take the tram up the Cairngorms
.... or better still, walk it, then you can go right to the very top (you're not allowed to go up to the final plateau if you go up on the tram). If you're lucky, the clouds will lift for a sec and give you the most tremendously wonderful, wide-ranging view.
