Any advice on booking ferries?
For the best price is it best to book early or late?
Apart from school holidays are they ever fully booked?
Any discount codes?
I'm particularly interested in Hull to Zeebrugge and Portsmouth to Spain

When I have booked P&O Dover-Calais in the past I have never found any difference between booking months ahead or a few days ahead.
As long as it's not a particularly busy day and the crossing isn't fully booked I found that as long as it was 48hrs ahead I got the cheapest price.

Been using the tunnel for the last year so things might have changed.

We've been using the Hull ferry for 5 years now and always found it very reasonably priced, until now. This year we paid £210 return in April and for September it was £200. Just booked for next May and shock set in. Its doubled to £400.There excuse is it is becoming very popular and many travellers are sailing from Hull to avoid everyone trying to get into the UK from Callais/Tunnel. No wonder all the foreign investors want to own UK business. Total rip off from cradle to grave.
