Had a look at a Itineo LB690 today. Demo unit, got offered a good deal £10000 off new price. Lots of extras like 15"Avtex tv, gaslow system, tow bar fitted, Maxview semi auto dish, cab aircon, awning, external gas point, extra leisure battery, internal silver screens and smoke alarm. Think we may go for it. The unit ticks all our boxes, right layout and plenty of space and tons of storage space :thumb:

Reports I have read say the build quality is good, anyone any experience of these vans? Made by Rapido. ::bigsmile:

I have had my Rapido for almost 7 years and have no regrets, It has done 143,000 kms taken all over Europe and this year to Beijing and back. They are an excellent company with probably the best French make. I was not aware they made the Itineo. They have just moved into anew factory in Mayenne.

Seen quite a few in France this year.. can't say I particularly like the look but that's subjective, the fact that it's Fiat based would put me off.

it gets a good review here

Well known and respected brand of French motorhome. The French love them, and TBH I have never heard anything bad about them. I have even seen a few myself that I liked but obviously with a family, the layouts were not right for us.

Went back yesterday and went through the van with a fine tooth comb.
We are now on our second Burstner coach built and I have to say the quality of the Itineo is way better :Eeek:

Driving it is a dream, so smooth, no roll and the torque is amazing. Easily takes roundabouts in third.

Anyway right or wrong it's now ours. ::bigsmile:

Hi, we love the Itineo. Been away a few times in it now, a month in Feb and we wouldn't go back to the Burstner. Yes it has a slight judder in reverse but we took the view "how often do you reverse a motorhome" and for how far. We keep it on a farm so no uphill drive. The machine is a dream to drive as I said. If we ever decided to change again (lottery win required) we would buy another Itineo. :thumb:
