We are looking for a good quality 5 star site for our next years vacation we would like to stick to the Med and are happy to travel down as far as Valencia
What we would really like is a dog friendly site (and beach) with a nice restaurant either on site or close by which provides large private pitches and is for adults only ( or is very quite)

If any one can help we would be really grateful planning to go 20th August for 3 weeks ( to avoid school holidays for part of the time )

We have a large Motor Home 8m long 3.5 m high and Tow a little car behind so the site needs to have good access.

Many Thanks Tony Margaret & Cassie the dog

Not sure how many adult only sites you will find. Unlike some in the UK, the Spanish actually quite like kids. Why don't you just go outside of school holidays?

Lots of very fine sites between Barcelona and Valencia but can't think of a single one that is adults only

I think your asking for the wrong thing in Spain.. August is the busiest time and campsites will be packed with families and lots of kids !! At a lot of beaches you may find dogs are not allowed in the main summer period...

Good luck with your search....

You'll be hard pushed to find an adult only let alone a dog friendly beach in the area you are looking at.Were at bonterra park benacissim, great site resturant walking distance to great beach & would take your size van easily oh & has a large private dog walking area.

You'd be pushing it to find a dog friendly beach in Briton at that time of year.

I think you need to look elsewhere. Med sites are usually very busy that time of year with families no dogs on a lot of beaches, and hope the small car is on a trailer as it is illegal to use A frame in Spain.
Other than that have a nice vacation.

As Lou020 Croatia cheaper and lots of small sites
Spanish and quiet are two words you cannot use together and every site I have been on has kids running around through everyone's pitches .

We spent a couple of weeks at Las Dunas with our two Long haired German Shepherd dogs. Our RV is 10m and we had a pitch beside one of our sons, and his RV is 9m and they have a Léon burgher

We were in the dog area, which in turn has "doggy toilets" and really good "dog showers" fully tiled with hoses and drains to cope with the sand from the beach.

Due to the heat a typical day for us would be to get up, take the dogs to the beach for a swim, fairly early when the sea is calm and the beach is empty (we would go down about 9'ish)

This meant that we would be able to swim with the dogs until they'd (we'd) had enough

A walk back to the van via a really good de-sanding shower, would result in two damp tired happy dogs, that would then happily sleep in the Air Conditioned motorhome for three or four hours whilst we went off to do things that are not "doggy compliant" This worked very well for us.

I have a device that will send me a txt should the mains be disconnected, turning off the Air Conditioning so we didn't have to worry about the dogs.

Once we'd had enough of the beach or the pool, we would wander back, to the van, greet our happy dogs, take them for a walk and everyone's happy

Also as they have a dog section, you tend not to get the non dog people in the area so no hassle from dog haters lol

Thanks for the info we have stayed at the same site twice enjoying the beach and the plots with private facilities also the town close by .

We found the far left of the beach was dog friendly and took the dog on the beach every day even in August Dunas is very good but we are looking to go further south.

Also we are aiming for the last week in August and we notice over the past few years the the rules over dogs on the beach are relaxed the first week in September
