Has anyone bought an aluminium storage box to be fixed on the bike rack and fix the bike rails to the top of the box?

My immediate thought is...........will the rear wall of the M/H take the combined weight of a loaded box, even an aluminium one, together with bikes?

I would think so as it is not uncommon to see a fairly large motor scooter/motorbike on a frame at the rear - but that is just a guess :)

I have a square canvass zipped bag in which I carry my lightweight camping table and chairs slung below the cycle rack - works for me :)

many many years! since I was a kid
the weight limit on a fiamma bike rack is 60kg though. anywhere near that weight and the brackets start pulling through the wall. if there is any flexing, the racks also snap if constantly loaded heavily

scooter/motorcycle racks are mounted to the chassis directly or towbar which is obviously chassis mounted

Bike racks mostly have a max weight limit usually about 60kg
