Well after much umming and ahhing we have joined the ranks having just purchased an Autocruise Starfire which we will take delivery of in a couple of weeks, can't wait::bigsmile:
Now as it will be kept on our drive when not in use can someone recommend a reasonably priced but good wheel clamp before someone decides to relieve us of our new toy?

note you wheel size, so you know whatever you get fits the wheel. also look for one thats rated by "sold secure" as these are apparently harder to break.

That was also a TC. An old picture 40 or more years ago in my youth:Sad:

I owned mine around 1961/2 - bought it with a brand new gold seal engine in it. Sold it for £200 if my memory still works.

Then a TR3a. I got very good a replacing rust.

I guess our 3 tonne 2l MH could out perform the TC. But not the 3a, regularly had that showing a legal 110mph.

Hi Rallyman,

Welcome to Fun see you have bought a good van:thumb:

If you give us a ring, one of my lot can tell you the right clamp for an AutoCruise and if you tell them you are from Fun, you will get the Funsters 5% discount.

Regards

Peter

agreed....any with sold secure rating

the strongarm appears to be for steel wheels only though.

i have a similar clamp that is suitable for alloys. HERE

if you have room infront of the van and can mix concrete then fit a security post in the drive....you need to dig a hole around 1' deep, put the post in and backfill it with concrete.
