Hello all, another South Yorkshire newbie. Me and the OH have spent the summer planning our getaway - unusually we've decided to actually convert our car!
Sleeping platform has been built, hatchback shelter purchased, and many, many hours have been spent pouring over instructibles, small motomes.com, pinterest etc and still we're not entirely ready!!

Hi there, welcome to the fun (y). Got any photos of her? The CRV I mean :)
Not yet, as we haven't actually had it fully set up!
We're off up to Scotland next weekend so I'll take lots of photos.
Its a really simple set up, an MDF sleeping platform in the back, with room underneath for storage, a poleless reimo vertic hatchback tent (mostly so I can stand to get dressed!)
Top box and bikes are going on the roof. Can't wait!

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Hello from us two too
Before we had kids we thought about doing that too! We didn't though. But we slept on the reclining seats a couple of times.......
We ended up with a 1 man tent. Old styleeee! Then got a bit posher. With a big canvas cabanon frame tent Then eventually caravans before our first Motorhome.
Now the kids don't come anymore Ralphs converted a Peugeot panel van. Almost finished , he's just putting the webasto heating system in ready for our first proper maiden voyage up to the outer hebredese at the end of the month.
Welcome , from West Yorkshire, to the club.
