Hi,

What sort of adapter is needed to fill an American RV's on-board LPG tank in France?

(Apicture would be nice :winky:)

I have gaslow and whilst I did not fill I did examine a pump and its the wedge type adaptor from gaslow that I would have need to screw in.

Fill up with gas on the autoroutes - there are not too many gas pumps elsewhere in rural France!

Hi Jim, I recognize the claw fitting and incidentaly its the same fitting in Portugal, but the addapter that the claw is fitted to, is that one to fitt the American end?

Hi Doug ..

yes, that's the Acme Screw, standard on yank LPG tanks.

incidentally it's the Acme screw that's used in Belgium, so RV s don't need an adaptor.

hi doug ...its the acme screw, it was used here for years in the 70,s untill this recent lpg modern invention of cars running on gas. we arent supposed to know its been around along time. firm like beam in california, :thumb: lande hartog in holland must be laughing their heads off.

hi jim, i used to build trikes n got into lpg. as a fuel for them . it was very cheap then . nothing wrong with 3 wheels. they make good toads . :thumb:
