Hello

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a campsite outside the paris metropolitan area (I don't want to drive into Paris) that has a good train or bus connection into the city.

I did a search of threads and saw Bois Du Boulonge was mentioned but I'd rather stay well outside the built up area. I don't mind a journey of over an hour by train.

Thanks.

There's a good campsite Camping La Belle Etoile at Melun south of Paris. Bus from outside the site gate to station then 40mins on train. Melun itself is a nice town as well.
We stopped at Camping Belle Fosse near Vernon this year. It west of Paris and also handy for Monet's Garden at Giverny. Took taxi to Vernon Station then train to Paris. only snag was the trains back on Saturday nights are at 8:20pm & 11:50 pm!!!
Mentioning Giverny you can overnight at the main car/coach park for free

If you don't need a site you could park at Euro Disney and get the train from there, not sure on the price now but has water and use of showers.
