Since April 1846 but have always camped.
Hi,
Heading of this Sunday for port Grimaud and thought that the first stop from Calais could be around Troyes although campsites are a bit thin on the ground, so any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
Thanks

The municipal site is within walking distance of the centre of troyes which is well worth a visit

I've submitted it to Campercontact - should appear on their site within 14 days

There's a nice little site a few miles SW of Troyes.
Camping a la Ferme at Eaux Puiseaux, 48.11696, 3.88317.

Not many stopping places in this part of France so this one we have found very nicely placed.

Large pitches and good facilities.

Ah, we cycled to Port Grimaud in June, 10 mins from our campsite, Les Mures. 20 mins further cycling gets you into St tropez :) Not sure of overnights, lots and lots of campsites around, try the ACSI site as a starter. :)

@lunarman @Forestboy thanks for the heads up on that lunarman, great site with some nice shady pitches. Just drove down from la bien assise at Calais and had the most tremendous thunderstorm that seemed to go on all night. Will definitely be staying here again, we're going to stay two nights and explore the old town but heavy rain forecast tomorrow so will head south to Macon.
Cheers.
