Is it possible that our deceitful, manipulative Mr CAMERON has done a deal with
Francois Hollande to do another amnesty to let the illegal immigrants of Calais into the Uk in return for Mr Hollande support for Cameron's pathetic EU changes ( none of which were why the Referendum came into being......

PS, Sky News this morning reports of finding another smaller camp where English number plated vehicles ( two cars and a large white van were seen racing off the site so not to be filmed....when is this ridiculous situation going to end.

since 2006 ( I think ! )
The chances are the vehicles were either something to do with smuggling booze or 'bacca rather than anything else, but of course equally you could be quite right ( though really, if the govt wanted to do a deal I do not think a white can and a couple of cars would be involved.. more likely a coach or twenty and a rubber stamp booth sorting out paper work !! .. It would take a hellova lot of runs with small vehicles to make a meaningful dent in the amount of people trying to enter the UK illegally

I read in one of the papers this week that British gangs are using UK registered cars to transport immigrants through Calais, at a price

Two ferries out of commission at the peak of the holiday season because the UK competition Authority banned them from docking at Dover from 12th July under the management of the MyFerryLink cooperative. This is the cause of the Ferry Strike and the resultant problems both sides of the channel.

The Ferries are still owned by The Tunnel Company but instead of leasing them to MyFerryLink they have now leased them to DFDS resulting in 400 job losses at MyFerryLink. The Competition Authority ruled that because the ferries were owned by the channel tunnel company they had too big a hold on the crossing. The situation has not changed just the operator of the leased ferries has. The redundant workers are trying to get the situation reversed.

The migrants have taken advantage of the resultant chaos to get access to the delayed vehicles near Calais.

OUR GOVERNMENT are responsible for this chaos. NOT THE FRENCH or the migrants.

Strangely.. I would say the striking ferry workers are to blame .. blocking the roads with burning tyres and trying to blockade a port just isn't cricket is IT?

"Eric Vercoutre of the MyFerryLink works council said: "We want to make the French, British and Belgian governments understand that if a solution isn't found to save our 600 jobs, there will be a lot of disruption this summer.

"When the mobilisation ramps up, we'll block everything, which could disrupt eurotunnel"

Whatever will be will be, our tickets were booked ages ago and Dover-Calais is the crossing point. Probably won't be staying in Calais the night before our return though. Might also find a way of making the rear ladder less easy to climb up.
