Our Autotrail Miami has it's TV fittings at the foot of the bed. This is ok for watching TV in bed but not so good for early evening.
When we bought it we noticed that the previous owner had a TV fitted on the wall beside the door. When we went to pick it up they told us that the TV (which was still there) had been connected to an outside TV aerial point because the previous owners had had a portable satellite dish. The dealer said that as we wouldn't be using the external aerial they had connected the TV to the rooftop aerial.
But whatever they did the TV doesn't work on the aerial - no signal at all. I think they might have accidentally connected it to the outside socket. We've checked that the rear aerial works and put our own TV over the bed but we now have a second TV on the wall in the lounge that doesn't pick up any signal. It also only has a 240v connection as it's not a MH specific model.
It is a 200 mile round trip back to the dealer so I'm looking for a way to sort it out.
I called a local local firm who do audio for cars and they said they would look at it but don't know what they're doing really. That doesn't fill me with confidence.
What kind of firm would do a job like this?

Can't remember ;)
Hi Mags hope GN has sorted your problem :D but it may be of help to others so here goes -- what Ariel do you have on roof ? is it directional ? if you need to point it in the right direction, have a look at nearby houses and that should tell you which way to point it -once pointed do a search on tv -usually first time installation(y) If it's a flying saucer type Ariel then it's probably crap so needs changing --I have had great success all over the place using one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Avtex-12v...4012a3&pid=100338&rk=1&rkt=28&sd=251786794025 don't cost the earth and good at getting pictures

not long enough
presuming the TV in the bedroom works, you could just run a temporary lead from back to front just to prove that the front TV works

being a generally lazy type myself if that works it would be my solution :D:D

just unplug the lead at night if in the way :)

but hopefully between the above you have had much better solutions (y)

10 years.. On and Off
If premade leads replace/check for breaks, if home made, take off plugs and check for shorts/incorrect fitting.
