Anyone have any suggestions on the best route south from Cherbourg.

We normally travel down on the toll roads but last year we kept getting classified as class 3 as our van is high. We always argue and normally win, but whether or which even the class 2 is working out as expensive as the diesel.

Our problem is that we have only two weeks and we can't afford to waste an extra day each way travelling. I am hoping that someone knows a practical route south that is mostly toll free (I have no issue with a few short tolled sections to make it faster)

Going this Thursday so all suggestions grateful

Regards
Raymond

7 years campers before that
why not use viamichelin to give you a route with and without tolls i just did it quickly and theres threeb and a half hours diffence you could probably loose some of that by using some stretches of tolls

Thanks,
Will try both suggestions and see what they come up with.

I always used Microsoft Autoroute in the past but lost it in a failed hard drive
