Hi, On Thursday we are heading off to France for a three weeks. We have decided to use Brittany Ferries, Plymouth Roscoff and as we haven't done this route for years want to know if we get to the port late in the evening is there anywhere to park up? Our ferry is 08:00 Friday morning so we would rather arrive the night before if that is feasible.

If not we'll just have to get up even earlier lol

Hi, you can park up and stop overnight at the port once the last ferry has left which I think is at 23:00

Just checked Brittany Ferries timetable and it seems that there is no late crossing on thursday evening so you will be ok from earlier if needs be. Happy holidays!

Hi Eddie , Where are you off too ( Iknow Roscoff) but where after that ? Please
Don't know really, the last couple of years have been straight to the Bay of St Tropez

This year we thought we meander
There is space to park just as you arrive at the port, on the right, against a wall. Otherwise, they let you park in the car lanes. http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/information/uk-ports-parking. Might be worth ringing them before you arrive.

We thought that we'd give the a call on Thursday and ask the earliest we can arrive.

Thanks, that is great we'd be getting there late anyway so that sounds perfect, as DBK suggests he'd planed on a call

It's mainly wanting time to check in but give the dogs a good walk prior to boarding so would be happier there, than getting up and going from Taunton.

Thanks

A couple of years ago we went down to Plymouth for the Friday morning ferry on Thursday evening. (even though we only live 15miles away)
Arrived at about 8.30pm. We were caravanners then. Put the legs down, watched a bit of TV and went to bed.
The following morning at about 6am we were woken by the staff coming on duty.
Plenty of time for brekkie and a cuppa. All very civilised and friendly. Nothing like the formality and regimentation of Dover.
The staff told us which lane to get into for 'processing' and all went well.

If you fancy an evening in Plymuff (2 FF's) before the ferry it's a short walk away.

Catching the ships at Plymuff is like the bloke who rang Accrington Stanley to ask what time the match started.
"What time can you get here."
You could rock up at midnight, join the back of the queue of people who arrived and get your head down.
