Recently got some equipment from motor home wifi run by Adam and Sophie. @Addie ..and just want to say the service was excellent..
Just trying out the I boost now.. ( I also got the fon router )..
Have a fon connection and using it at present to do this post.
If I can do it I suspect it must all be fairly straight fwd .:)
Hoping it is as easy to get a connection in Europe..time will tell ..
So a thanks from me for what appears to be a useful tool in the mh in this day and age ,with the need to be on line to do or arrange just about anything..
I'll try and show a screens shot of one of the I Boost log in pages which helps determine what is available to connect to and tune the aerial for best signal strength..

Which one did you get Omni-Directional or Directional?
The directional one.. working on the information that the range was most probably better than the omni..
To be honest the directional antenna still has a fairly wide angle view of what's in front of it.. to cover 360 degrees you need to do only 4 takes to get the full picture af what networks are available...
Once you select one you can fine tune the aerial using lights on the back of the antenna (not so easy in daylight) or buy moving the aerial and watching the coloured bar shown in the screen shot above.

Ps I have never seen one so high.

It says it's only 100m away so yes fairly close..
Had a connection earlier which was 1.2 km away according to the IBOOST log in pages.. obviously the signal was a lot poorer but still worked...I was surprised..
Just sitting at the back of the house playing with it..:)
Ta andy
Just checked.. its 0.1 of a mile away about 200m I think

I have the same set up, iBoost Directional and Fon box. 10 days in France only found a Fon signal once which was in Honfleur. Worked fine but I was disappointed that there weren't more Fon signals.

I have an alternate to the iboost and would say you have been unlucky, we have been here a week and have only failed to find a FON once (though not always a strong signal). Stick with it

First moho 11/2013, second 11/2014 current from 09/2019.
Where our system was really useful was on a site in France with paid for wifi (pay per device). I bought one wifi pass, set it up on the router and all four of us had our iPads connected for the price of one device. We have a Solwise equivalent of the iBoost.
