Having cycled just about every Voie vert and river Cyclepath in Germany and France we are now considering Holland for our autumn trip . We only have 3-4 weeks and the choices are either UK or Holland . We might cross from Hull to Zeebrugge to make things easier . Any ideas or recommendation would be much appreciated .

So far we have only motorhomed in Holland once, back in 2012, when we stayed at this site near Noordwijk. Not far from Hook of Holland if you are in that neck of the woods and an easy walk or bike ride to lovely beaches or pleasant town.

This being Holland you can cycle everywhere of course. Also a very 'horsey' area.

We'd heard mixed reports on here about Holland but have just spent a couple of days at Valkenburg in the far south near Maastricht, not a windmill in site and quite hilly but a nice area. Stayed at Camping Vinkenhof which has an on site cafe bar and the restaurant next door was fantastic. Had a great meal at a pub on the way into Valkenburg too, can't remember the name but @irv636 might be along to remind me as we bumped into them there. Valkenburg has more cafes/bars than shops and is Holland's most popular tourist destination for the cloggies.
There's a castle, caves and a steam railway there too.

We're off to Holland in September for an 8 week tour (the joy of retirement) taking our bikes and looking forward to a great time. The Dutch love cycling and often have cycle lanes separated from motor traffic. And, it's flat!!!
We go via the tunnel, costs more but it's better for our 2 dogs.

Not just high summer! I asked a Dutch couple (who had followed us to 2 campsites) who exactly was running the country since all the Dutch seemed to be in Portugal in May...

Been a few time to the Netherlands and can recommend it, Den Hague is well worth a visit, we also stayed at Rennese on one of the big islands and Cadzand-Bad on the mainland which is famous for collecting fossilised sharks teeth on the beach, we found loads.

We stayed at Valkenburg with @jockeneezer, then we stayed at a C&CC recommend site at Delft. We did not like the site as it was to big and busy for us, but Delft is a really nice place, the cycling round about was great. Even had a coffee in a windmill

We were there last month, brilliant for cycling. Stayed at Delft, very nice place, Arnhem, didn't like it (hilly) though there was a great outdoor museum there, and Sloten. Poor site but okay, absolutely wonderful area though, made up for it. The site at Arnhem was really good, Camping Warnsborn.
