my hobby has had a leak around the habitation door, around the top hinge, i have dried it out but the wood is very weak and will not support the door hinge screws. does anybody know where i can get replacement boarding for insde the van for when i chop the old out,
or would it be better to fill it with a solid block of wood.
any advice would be gratefull.
thanks

Family Ross, I'm sorry to hear you've had rot in your van, I can't understand why manufacturers don't use proofed timber.
I suggest you get some quotes for the work.

Whilst it's cheaper to do the work yourself, the drop in resale value might make it more expensive in the end.

If the quotes are too high, at least you'll be able to pick up a few pointers.

It retailed value isn't important, I suggest you use solid hard wood, and proof it against rot before you use it.
