Defeated By Light Fitting (1 Viewer)

We have been changing bulbs for led. All were small G4 halogens and we have changed them all except the ones by the overcab bed which are a different fitting.

No matter what i try i cant find how to get it open to change the bulbs. They are a sort of eyeball fitting.

Any advice please?

Have you tried pulling each fitting out of the trim by the outer chrome ring?

Failing that unscrew it, drop it down and see if you can do it from above.

Just a thought... they aren't already LED are they? If so they may be sealed units.

Thanks but tried both of those. Poppinh them out by the ring the whole thing comes out, no sign of a way in. There is no way in the back when i removed the whole fitting.

You can see the halogen bulbs when you look close so i think there must be a way in. We are usually pretty handy but this has us baffled!

Pop the black ring off so you can remove the glass cover maybe?

If there's no way to do it from above then the glass has to come out.

There is a black ring round next to the glass. If you look closely you will see a join. Get hold of one side of the join with long nose pliers and pull!
It is a split ring which holds the glass in place and when out you can access the bulb.

Thanks very much everyone, pulling out the black plastic worked. Inly thing is glass wont go back on as the led bulbs are bigger. Works fine without the glass though.
