Just spent a lovely few days up at Fort William and climbing Ben Nevis with my daughter Sophie, yesterday when we got back to the van and sitting having a cuppa I heard the pump come on for about a second for no reason. I immediately turned it off and had a quick look around and found my kitchen drawer had a couple of drips of water in it so after further investigation I found the tap tail leaking so when I go home this afternoon went round the 3 shops in Dumfries and 2 told me I need a new tap other didn't have anything to fit. I doubt I need a new tap, so can any of you tell me where I can get similar to first pic below and if the second pic would do the job. First pic shows both broken one and what it should look like.

Had a similar experience where the plastic tail into the tap broke and tried to source replacements. ..
Ended up getting a new tap and made sure I bought some spare tails that fitted it...just in case it happened again...
I've kept the original tap just in case one day I come across tails that fit.....I did go back to the original supplier who tried to help but all the leads drew a blank...
Hope you get sorted...
Ta Andy.

The bottom one for the new tap I had to get because I couldn't source the top one... It was 8mm with a different sealing arrangement. ..

Cheers Andy, I might take you up on your offer firstly I'm going to go back to the dealer and see if I can get some bits and bobs to make something up if not I'll be in touch.

I managed to get a hold of the tail in the last pic (red one) and it seems to have done the job time will tell.

Thanks again for your help and suggestions even Chris :)

many many years! since I was a kid
I had the same problem a few years back with a swift van. Tried all the usual suppliers but couldn't source the connector. Even swift couldn't help or wouldn't whichever. So I changed the tap

Problem is certain manufacturers source parts based on unit cost rather than quality and reliability
