2011 Rapido 9048DF for sale
In pristine condition inside and out, it's just had a new MOT today 16 months date for next MOT is 16th July 2016 it has have two services on the last one in September last year it have all new filters including fuel, oil, air and and pollen.
Comes with cream leather upholstery, reversing camera, two one hundred watt solar panels, three thousand watt shine inverter, avtex tv, maxi view receiver new, 85cm Oyster 2 satellite dish, 2x11kg alu gas refillable bottles, double bike rack, spare wheel if tow bar carrier, tow bar, cobra alarm extra power points, large fridge freezer and stainless steel spare wheel cover.
Only on the odd occasion do i use EHU.
Reason for sale is i'm ready to upgrade to a newer Rapido, we have had this MH from new and it has served us well clocking up 28,000 miles with over 30mpg, it's been brilliant all round quality.
I've decided this to buy per owned, the last five have been from new and i'm feed up with giving top bucks for sloppy service and giving dealers a slice on both ends.
I have lots of photos so if anyone is interested send me a PM with your email address and i will send as soon as.
Regards
Ray

Thanks for the photos ray ,I'm looking to buy a new rapido myself, what size of engine does yours have ? I'm surprised that they can do 30mpg , if it's a 2.3 does the engine have plenty of power

Well thats what i get, it's even better when i'm in France and before you ask i have not got a scooby doo why may be better roads fuel but just doses, mined you i have't got a lead right foot if i stay around 55/60mph this is easy, I get a little paranoid when it comes to MPG I take the mileage at fill up point then fill up to 80 litres tank full, run until nearly empty stop to fill-up take the new milage fill back up to 80litres work out how many litres used against milage covered divide litres by 5.22 for the gallons and away to go MPG there is a slight difference between the trip milage but not much, so hay ho here we go.
A new engine will take some time to get best returns because it will be tight for the first 10,000 miles or so, you must appreciate that you will lose anything from 10,000 to 15,000 pounds vat depending on the module you buy if you go for new, as soon as you take it of the forecourt it's gone, trust me been there dun that.
I wish you well with your new purchase.
Ps Yes it is a 130multijet 2.3

divide litres by 5.22 for the gallons

It's 4.54 litres to a gallon (y)

@laird of Dunstan I've got a 2014 9090dF with a 2.3l 150bhp engine and I find the power to be fine. It's obviously not a racing car but I've always been able to drive it how I like quite comfortably. I've got to say though I've never had anything like 30mpg. I've never worried about it enough to actually check it but the trip computer thinks we're averaging about 25 - 26

"work out how many litres used against milage covered divide litres by 5.22 for the gallons and away to go MPG"

but The imperial (UK) gallon is officially defined as 4.54609 litres.

So I suspect that your MPG is really 26!

Still much better than my 11.9 though.

Since 2015.......
Got to admit. Ours is a 2011 9095df.
The 2.3 engine seems fine. We have just had 4 days at The Wirral CC site, and going over "windy hill" on the M62 presented no probs, cruise control at 65, 6th gear.... According to the on board computer we got an average of 28.7 mpg for the trip.
Had a free camping night at "the hollybush inn, Northwich " on the way there.
Good food and ale :)

I'm thinking of the 9000dfh which has the 4.4 ton gvw ,so I'm concerned that the 2. 3 engine may be underpowered for that weight , not bothered about the mpg I was hoping for mid 20,'s I just don't want to be in a van that can't take a hill

Nice Van wish you all the best, on a personal note the 2.3 has all the power I need but it's horses for courses you are paying so you can play the tune.

2.3l 130bhp on our 4250kg Auto-trail and not had any issues with power. Not in a raging hurry to get anywhere though!:)
If you can't find the model you're looking for to test drive locally why don't you test drive a.n.other marque \ model with the 2.3l engine? Should be pretty comparable.

Yes you are right Andy, I did offer it for sale to a person on the Motor Home Forum back three years ago, he posted a thread in the wanted section on the said forum I replied back to the so called solicitor he claimed to be with an offer to purchase my MH as he wanted a Rapido 9048Df with low mileage.

After sending countless photos and emails including the price tag and so on, he then started to tell me how many deals he could buy one from in a similar condition for three or four thousand pounds cheaper than mine and that the extras makes no difference to the value of any motorhome,

Classic tyre kicker syndrome I’m afraid, I might not be the sharpest knife in the box but I didn’t come up the Ebbw in a biscuit tin IE River, and was not about to give it away.

At the time I had no other offers and decided at that point not to waste any more time and declined his offensive offer so I withdrew it from the sale section my choice not his.

Anyone still on the motorhome forum check it out, I’m sure the threads will sill be there somewhere.

Regards

Ray

Only £145 for motorhomes this is also the best price I’ve had, I will certainly be going back there, they also have a well-stocked accessory shop Brilliant.

Gas hoses have now been changed to stainless steel so it's right for the next 10 years, new battery for the smoke alarm.
Now it's all in tip top condition, considering changing the two front tyres as well they still have 4000 miles left on them but safety first.
