On the way home ant stopped for two nights at Camping Kloet @ Zierikzee Holland. Excellent site, beautiful town, I recommend both.

Trouble is we are having trouble finding a last night site for Monday, close to Dunkirk, restaurant close by etc.

A personal recommendation would be great,
regards
alan b

p.s. Helsinki was great, despite the weather.

To the left, the town wall and moat - inside is the usual selection of small town bars and restaurants. To the right, the marina.

Only one Restaurant in Grand Port Philp & it always closed when we stay there so if you need a Restaurant you are better off across the river at Graveline.

If you go to Gravelines and walk out towards the sea -to the right, there are quite a few restaurants about 1 mile away and it's quite a pleasant walk.

Grave lines for me , we will be there abw Tuesday night, restaurants in town but we usually go across the marina, to au cap compass , never failed to get in without booking, and excellent food at reasonable prices.

Yep, we have stayed on the Bergues aire a few times, very nice but no facilities. Plenty of eateries and shops in the pleasant town, also a vets where they speak good English.

There is a campsite at the Northern end of Dunkirk town. Good toilet facilities and within walking distance of the town via the promenade. Sorry, I can't remember the name.

After much searching have found a site in Belgium 40km away, Kompass camping @ westende, ferry at middayish so not a particularly early start.
Thanks for all the suggestions, prefer a site if poss, maybe should have said.
