Good idea, but how many hauliers are going to stump up the cash to have that installed retrospectively ?

Hi.
In the good old days of Log books and hardly any traffic,a,"Wave on/Overtake hand signal" during the day,and a couple of flashes of the headlights at night,meant the lad behind could come by, you could rely on these signals. Traffic has increased/speeded up,so you could be now closing with each other at 120 mph.
This is a super idea,but like many more,will fall by the wayside.Example,an engineer designed a simple spring device that stopped the wheel veering off course in the event of a Blow out,it added weight of course, binned......... i had a fiendishly clever plan years ago,design a safe as possible lorry,THEN say what weight it can haul,rather than set a weight,THEN design the lightest lorry to carry it.Once had a Volvo FL10 with Don Burr trailer,empty on the weigh bridge,low on fuel and tared at 12.10 tonnes.W/bridge man asked if i was on the bridge properly.
