Our motorhome with us both on board and with basics e.g. bedding, food in cupboards, wetsuits etc. weighs 3490kg.
We've been driving illegally! Bum. Svtech here we come.
It's official - Geist payload is rubbish. This is supposed to be a 6 berth van!

We just went to the local refuse place and got an overall weight. Wanted to get a quick idea now that we're thinking about either changing the van or altering the layout. It's meant to be max 3500kg and we're just 10kg under without our bikes on the back. We had a full tank of diesel and no water in the tanks. Too close a call, especially as we like to bring wine back from France ;)
Last year we brought 90 bottles home and the bikes were on so we were definitely over. :(

My mistake too, well under max weight.

So drove for 7 years with the rear axle over it's own limit.

Sorted, sort of, by SVTech.

Was passing weighbridge on way to Mill Cottages CL, Sheringham - so fully laden ready for a few days away, full tank diesel, 100% water, case of beer, e-bike on the back etc etc.
Very happy @ 3.110 with me in it, nearly 300kg of payload left for more toys or essential "shopping"
:D

Swmbo say' we have 5t' weight no problem, but I'm not so sure, so off I go to a weigh bridge, and guess what we only have 60kg spare. That's with a fill tank of fuel, half a tank of water, and not a lot of booze, but at least we now know !!!!, and that's without her !!!
