We'll be abandoning the family and going to Looe, Cornwall again this year - one of the biggest fancy-dress street parties in the country with a fabulous firework display.

All very good-humoured too :)

We stay at the Caravan Club site and drive into town.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We're booked in up at Moffat again. We had such a great time last New Years Eve we booked in at the campsite before we left.
We went to Brodies last time. http://www.brodiesofmoffat.co.uk/
Had a great Gourmet meal and Scottish dancing organised etc. All dressed up all posh , long dresses and suit n tie jobby.
This time we're booked in to have a meal at the http://www.buccleucharmshotel.com/
It's no oil painting , decor wise , but we had a few good meals there whilst we were away. Then going around the pubs. A more casual affair. Seeing the new year in the village square , with the locals. They do a brilliant firework display.

We are looking forward to going up in our new PVC , Pug.

Padstow for us this year. Staying at Padstow touring park about a mile walk from the harbour. Few beers some seafood and good old Cornish company. Pity the wife is from Devon!!

New Year at Looe Caravan Club site looks doubtful - I just tried to book it and it's saying it closes on 2nd November. Probably because there were only 5 units there last time :-(

Rivendale in the Peak District, located in an old quarry so fairly well sheltered and great location for walks etc
