I've been wandering France now for 4 weeks.
I've used aires, wild, municipals and ACSIs.

I've seen about 10 Brit MHs and some of them were going north!

At the moment I'm on one of my favourite ACSI sites (Llauro), quite busy but I'm the only Brit here. NL must be empty.

Enjoy your GB site charges - €12 here.

We are up at Ardamurchan, for the first time, cracking scenery and roads ok, bit of a challenge on the single track road, need to keep your eyes open at all times but it is worth it.

I eased over today to allow a truck to overtake and a Brit motorhome followed behind him... Nearly cut me up... one flash of his hazard lights and he was off...

He was the first ever Funster I had actually met driving along the road in all these years... no wave, no stop for a quick chat... nothing.

On the road after Pancorba near Burgos...

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

I paid £10 a night for a C&CC pitch on a remote farm overlooking the mull of kintyre and Isle of Arran last week. So not always expensive here !!! You are lucky when I went to the baltics and scandinavia I saw about 5 brits the whole journey.....obviously the signal for corrie and deadenders does not get that far. ;)

What's really noticeable this year is the very much increased occupancy of sites particularly French camping cars and chalet/cabins. Aires, on the other hand seem to be more sparsely populated.

French lady drivers continue to entertain! I used to think their roundabout technique was tops but now my vote goes to the lady driver who sits on your offside rear bumper clearly wanting to pass but will not attempt it until there is a 20km stretch of straight road and no traffic coming the other way.
You slow down a bit to let her pass and she slows down behind you!
Hilarious.

Been in Normandy for D-Day week, now heading for the south side of Britteny tonight at a beautiful free manciple Aire can't even support the local economy only one shop & one bar in the village both were closed when we looked at 6pm.

Me too surprised how few Brits about this year.

Not a good one of me:cool:

Great photos.
We did Normandy a few years back and visited the landing sights and loved it although unfortunately, not on D day.
Where abouts was the last photo? And could you overnight here?

In South Wales at our Glorious Leaders place. Off to Stratford on Sunday for a week and a day. After that absolutely no Idea... This is a first, in over 6 years of fulltiming I have absolutely no idea where I will be 2 weeks from now.

Usually 2 weeks ahead I have a few options in mind if not a decision. For the first time absolutely nothing at all.... Part of me is happy about this, a little bit of me is starting to get a little bit uncomfortable... But to be honest on balance I am still pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

I am a little drunk at the moment and after a few minutes of mulling it over I think North Wales is starting to ring my bell. I have some wild spots up there and haven't been for a few years.....

I love being a fulltimer.
