Ikea, Overnight Parking Allowed (1 Viewer)

Hi, was in their store at lakeside, West Thurrock in Essex, just by the Dartford bridge.
Spoke to security and they allow you park overnight In their car park, at your own risk of course.
May be helpful to someone

I wouldn't park our van anywhere near that area to be honest. Even during the day.
Nice of Ikea though.

We went up there in the MH, got there early and parked well away from the store, out of the way. Went in and did our shopping and when we came out there were 4 other MHs parked around us, looked like a rally

Ikea are probably working on a flat pack interior to convert a Volvo estate to a camper van as we speak!

When I asked if I was okay parked where I was over two spaces they were more than happy and suggested I left it there (Edinburgh) whilst I did all my other shopping. They also said I was welcome to leave it overnight, at my own risk, if I had something to eat or drink in store. As I have a family card I get free drinks anyway Result.

Wonder if there is a Lidl or Aldi next door to IKEA anywhere? Now that WOULD be a plan!

According to IKEA's website they'll soon be adding MH service points to their car parks, labelled as follows:

GLUGG = water
KLAGG = grey water
KRAPP = chemical WC disposal

That's on the direct orders of IKEA's Motorhoming CEO Billy Bukshelf.

@BreweryDave would probably confirm that. Our old offices were in Purfleet close by the garrison estate. Got burgled about once every three weeks on average. Only once was a professional job
