I would recommend buying an All the Aires book for northern France. It's got loads of Aires in for Normandy, so if one is full, you've the option to look up a nearby alternative.

Plenty of Aires in Normandy, we'll be visiting a few in July on our anticlockwise circuit :)

Here's a couple of Normandy aires we stayed on on our 2013 trip, I don't have the aires book with me so I can't tell you page numbers etc but they are in there somewhere.

Granville, its only a car park but nice town and harbour, plenty to see.

This one is at Englesqueville, six neat pitches behind a farmhouse, very nice.

Bayeux town centre aire was handy for visiting the historic sites, but duration of stay is limited (in theory).

Fougeres, at the back of the car park opposite the chateau. A second option exists in another car park at the top end of town but it's not as picturesque.

Just before the 'strip' leading up to Mont St Michel's causeway there's a converted campsite on the right that's given over to MHs only. You pay at the campsite/holiday park opposite. Trouble is Mont St Michel is a hideous commercialised tourist honeypot inside the walls. They drop the portcullis once you're in and refuse to let you out until you've bought a plastic knight or a wooden sword. Nice to look at from a safe distance though.

Honfleur is in Normandy so it's worth a mention - huge aire within walking distance of the quaint port, bustling streets of the old town, ultra chic overpriced Parisian art galleries etc. No need to eat out in Honfleur - if you hang around by the stretched limo Seine cruiser moorings when they're serving up, the wealthy people onboard sometimes amuse themselves by throwing scraps of Lobster Thermidore and caviar over the rail and watching the common people fighting with the seagulls.

Arromanches has the D Day museum and the remains of the Mulberry Harbours if that sort of thing interests you. The aire is a sectioned off part of a car park. It has a service point and when we were there several vans were using the main part of the car park as an overspill. It's quite a nice little town and beach.

Last time we were there the aire was closed and the new huge parking area was being constructed. It appeared that there would be MH parking but no facilities. Haven't been back since.
