today we picked up our new to us PVC and unlike the old one it has a TV fitted.

we stopped for lunch on the way home and I powered it up and tuned it in. Not a lot of channels found and the ones that were found didn't work..

Not been home liong and tired so probably can't do a lot now but where do I start looking...

On the roof is an aerial like this one

http://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan-and-camping/vision-plus-status-330-digital-caravan-tv-aerial/

although I can't remember if the box in the cupboard (which just has one red light on it) said digital or not so I presume if it doesn't say digital then it is an old analog one.. if that is right (hope one of you clever folk know) then do I need to change the booster or the whole thing?

Are these any good? If I start spending money on it will I end up regretting it...

and BTW not having had a TV in the old van I have no idea if we will ever watch it.. just seems a shame to have something in the van that doesn't work..

from what I can see I don't think I would be able to just take the old one off and put this one on though.. I presume it needs a fairly massive hole through the roof...

I might just stick a chromecast on the telly instead...

hmm.. thanks all for your help.. I don't fancy drilling the roof but perhaps when I speak to the chap about the shower fitting he can do it for me at the same time..

I presume one has to retune too as one moves from one transmitter's coverage to another... I've downloaded a neat phone app which points to the nearest (y).

I have a coach built, whether its relevant I know not but I think the improvement from 7 on outside aerial to 232 via the indoor mounted Avtex... is.

The Avtex also comes with brackets to mount it outside.

The Avtex stick on aerial works better for us than our directional Status aerial, could be worth a try.
