Hi all

Just got a Tyrepal tyre pressure monitor kit and here I am sat in the drivers seat planning (and wondering) where to fit the monitor?

It comes with a windscreen mount sucker or with a base fixing with screws.

I've already got a dash cam (window sucker mounted) and a sat nav (again window sucker mounted) and didn't want anything else on the screen (getting to be a space ship and no room to see out)
So considering the screw fix mount.
Location will determine where another power supply socket will go nearby!

Has anyone got a Tyrepal or similar make and if so, where have you fit your monitor?
Photos would also be a great help but not as important as a reply

My monitor is just on a small sticky pad on the dash so that I can move it at will.
Does yours turn itself on and off as I thought it was supposed to (vibration sensitive)? Mine doesn't, it has to be manually switched on and off. No problem (unlike the TINY display) so long as I remember to do it.

I modified an old sat nav or phone mount...It slots into the dash in a few places.... The air vent, ticket slot, under the radio.. anywhere the little spade on the back fits...

Bobpalt: I have had mine hard wired into the vans engine electrics. It only displays once there has been some movement in the van, and therefore it is 'asleep' when I'm not in the van. I don't need to do anything with it.

Enjoy Andy
I've just travelled down the M606 to M62 and although very heavy traffic, it is all moving.

I looked to see what's available within a 90min drive for this weekend and can't get in anywhere - left it too late

Well we made it to Jock land (y) what a drive that was Jam after Jam First 30 miles took 1.5hrs
Arrived at 20:12 and warden eagerly let us in as at that point there were 7 vans not arrived and only two late arrival pitches

Ours is similar - just on the dash and the passenger keeps an eye on the readings when they remember. No need really as the alarm goes off when it gets out of the "safe zone" you have already set (note to self - this needs slighly adjusting - only one point as set to narrow). A great bit of kit. :)

I have mine mounted on the dash board to the right of the steering wheel on one of those round sat nav mounting discs from Halfords.

Glad you arrived safe. Not so sure about your terminology for our fair and beautiful land with helpful wardens :)

The land of men called Jock "John" English translation

No women then????

It's actually seen as quite offensive (just a heads up). ;) On a par with some of the terms used for people from other ethnic minorities. Being a self confessed mongel it doesn't worry me but I know of people for whom the terminology ruffles up lots of anti-English feelings.

No women except one of my Scottish electrical hands at FEP Mossmorran tried kidding me that Sharleen Spiteri had her name changed from Moorag mcCleod
Did you know that a sassenack is not an English person but a lowlander?
Och jock lost his sock in the loch!
There'll be dew among the heather and twa moons in the sky :p

Yes, sassenack roughly translates as "southerner". And our local paper here in The Scottish Borders is "The Southern Reporter". Although some of my ancestors moved south in the 1700s I remember Gaelic being spoken in the house when I was a child. I wish I had been able to ask them where in Scotland we were from as far as they knew. I know one line were Borderers but it is the paternal side I'd like to trace further. Maybe one day I will be able to search the private estate archives for records - they are not open for researchers at present :(
