hi folks,
Been running the Hauwai 3G mifi dongle with external antenna port that I fit a directional antenna on. Works wonderfully.
I now would like to upgrade to a 4G version.... Questions?:
Is there one available with an external antenna connection ?
Is there one with a LAN port (for sat TV) available ?

Do you get a 4g signal in the places you visit?

Been using Huawei E5776 for 2 years now, got external aerial, worth using, although 4g it will revert to 3g if there is no 4g in the area, also depends on what network you are using.

What aerial do you use with your MIFI and does it make a difference because we're in a dodgie area and on three it's not brilliant.

I use this one, it's directional but gets a strong lock on the network.
Works well, takes a bit of setting up.

The E5377 is the latest 4g mifi with an affordable price. It has double antenna inputs, essential if you want to take advantage of the MIMO antenna technology. It also has a longer lasting battery than the E5372 if you want to take it with you for the day.

This is the aerial I bought. Rather than mount it on the window and leave marks from the suction cups I bought a tablet stand from Poundland and use the supplied clips to hang it on that. It works well in enhancing both 4G and 3G signals - even picked up 4G at Peterborough when the phone was only picking up 3G (we were near the edge of a coverage area).
