For the first time in ages, next year's St Georges day falls on a weekend :party2: So I'm thinking we could have a follow on rally from the Peterborough show which is the week before. I'm looking at a marquee in a field, near Peterborough/Newark/Lincoln no one to disturb, Morris dancing music and Maypoles.. ;) Shout up if you have an idea about a venue (y)

Could be good.
Should Welsh / Scots folk be made to fly the Cross of St George??
Seems only right, eh?
:reel:
I remember seeing a Welsh member's van nicely decorated with St George's flags at Chester (first rally there I think). Of course I could never divulge who supplied the flags and who helped him decorate the van before said member awoke :LOL:

No John, it wasn't the Welshman who did the decorating. The reaction was funny as I recall :D

If there is a hook up available we would be interested!
That web page Sidney linked to says that there are. (y)

I will almost certainly stay overnight when I go to do that wedding there in July, so I'll have a good look round & report back.

We will need to make out own entertainment. Apart from the Bubble Car Museum itself, there isn't a great deal else but fields & dykes for miles.

We usually make our own entertainment but not sure if The dykes will appreciate it.....

The dykes round there just let it all Wash over them. :)

From about that point south & east, it's all country music & line dancing. If the wedding party are locals, they may get a shock when we expect them to do English ceilidh dances to Irish music! It's a lot more fun than line dancing - you get to grab hold of persons of the opposite gender for a start - quite firmly sometimes too!

We've stayed at the Bubblecar Museum. The facilities were minimal, I think there was just one each ladies and gents toilet and shower. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay.

Another vote for Lyndon Top. Lovely country side and no one to disturb in the immediate area.
