After a couple of years waivering we have finaly gone and bought our first motorhome.:Eeek:
After looking at one at the weekend ,advertised on ebay, that was a bit tatty we were thinking we wouldn't be able to find one in our price bracket that was anything near decent, then we found one right on our doorstep in Harwich! Beautiful condition, nice runner and the layout is excellent. Loads of extras as previous owner giving up motorhoming and he's even thrown in 6 months road tax and a full tank of fuel!:thumb:
Now need to do a few local runs to test it (years since we've been caravaning) and make sure we have everything we need and then hopefully off to the continent. Hubby wants to go to Tour de France in July.
We had a caravan for years until the children grew up and didn't want to go anymore. Funny now they are all grown up they have campervans of their own, all be it small VW ones, so they must have enjoyed it.

Oh boy do I recognise that.... "I don't want to walk up THERE" "Oh do we HAVE TO".

And now they can't stop talking about up THERE.

You'd better hurry up, don't you have to find a pitch for The Tour and be on it 6 months in advance ?

Enjoy.

Since 2008 after caravanning for 20 years
I remember planning a caravanning holiday around the Tour many years ago, one of the best trips to France we ever had. Had to be up really early to get a good position at the roadside, the local supporters were brilliant, they had their portable TV's on the go to keep track of the stage.

Enjoy your MH.

Daft as it may sound, for World Super Bikes at Monza last year we watched race 1 on the stands and because of the trees we watched and saw far more of race 2 in the MH on TV.

Now if we had taken the TV onto the stands - oh boy would that have scored points with the Italians :)
