If my pitch has a grass area and a gravel area, where should the awning be pitched?

Thanks

Next to your motorhome. :)

Think this may be site dependent, and season dependent, so better asking the warder,

Sometimes they like awnings on the hard standing to protect the grass, sometime on the grass if you have a breathable groundsheet.

On and off for many years.
Generally it's best to ask if they don't tell you.

Same as when parking up - nose in or nose out.

Only once been told our hab door was on the "wrong" side so we'd have to drive on and should have told them when booking. Didn't worry me just got on with it.

"Warder" A Freudian slip if ever I heard one!

We have those "jigsaw" foam type tiles - do they count as breathable?

With the CC I think you will find that if on a hard standing then your 'pitch' is purely the actual hardstanding, you are not suppose to spill over into the grass. Always best to check as it us a hassle if you need to move things once pitched.

You're right I think, normally the caravan/ motorhome and awning is on the hard standing to maintain the correct spacings between units
