How Do You Test A Temp Sender (1 Viewer)

It's probably just a thermistor, connect a meter set to ohms across the terminals adjust meter settings until you get a reading, then heat the end of sender the reading should change. A very rough test that will only tell you that it is basically working.

got a last min delivery from Andrew page as one of the van drivers lives in our street he dropped it off on his way home.
but it still did not work traced the fault to the earth on the spedo cluster board there are some brass bolts that are screwed to the board and go thrug the earth strip I have connected a new earth to that and earthed to steering Colum securing bracket. the problem has gone
any one want to buy a brand new temp sender

Still got a nice brand new Ducato X-250 heater control resistor and a flue cap that you fit so you can have the Truma gas heating on while driving along !

Well had the temp sender a year almost will be fiting it today as it finaly packed in.

If you have the tools absolutely, failing that just twist em together and tape em up...... now that is bad practice.....:eek:but still far more reliable than a scotch lock :D
crimp connections, bullet connection, male and female spades, there are quite a few options(y) but never a scotch lock if you want reliable joints ;)

i removed the scotch conector and solderd the joint thanks for your input (y)
