my log book does not state how many seats my talbot express has.is this usual for them not to be shown on log books

Depends on age of vehicle.., Not sure when it started but newer vans have a certificate of conformity issued that states lots of info plus the V5 will show how many belted seats....
Talbot express is certainly before all these new regulations..
Seat belt law is complex, lots on here already posted about it...

Older MHs didn't state, which was why you could carry large numbers of passengers, I once had 13 in my old Kon-Tiki, fortunately just for a short trip (only two seat belts).

i have read all the pallarva bout seatbelts.its a no no really to carry a passenger,even if a belt is not in there.old bill will do you regardless.and the ins co will prob not insure you carrying ppl without belts.short or long journey its not worth all the risks.
i just wondered why it didnt list the number of seats.thanks for your input tho

This was perfectly legal when I did it around 1980.
