I was wondering if it is possible to replace a thetford cassette for an equivalent size but with wheels.

My last van had one with wheels which was much better, they are quite heavy to carry around.

Thanks.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
The one Ralphs fitted into our PVC , Pug has wheels on the cassette. It's got a bigger capacity , than our old one too.

He said at the time we bought it, that it would be better when we were older, to drag rather than carry. I say we, I've never done it yet !

Buy a collapsible trolley and a couple of bungees. Works just as well.

Mine's got wheels. Don't know what model it is though.

AFAIK the wheeled ones are not 'generic' so will only fit the specific loos that were designed to have them, so if you haven't got a wheeled one already I don't think you'll be able to get one for your model of loo, however just get a cheap luggage trolley and use that instead ... ideal for it you buy something bulky/heavy too at MH shows ... :)

If you have one of the wheeled cassettes please don't use it on concrete or tarmac as it will wear the wheels minutely which can result in it then jamming in situ. When I worked in a dealership we had loads of problems with them.

We bought a small collapsible luggage trolley from one of those Chinese hardware shops in Spain. Works a treat with a bungy elastic.
As has been said, a wheeled cassette probably won't fit your current setup.

If you see anyone with a yellow trolley they've nicked it, if it's blue they've paid £9.

As Mel says not a retro fit also a waste of time, the handles are so flimsy that with a full tank they are easy to break, I never roll mine if it's over ½ full, kind'er defeats the object. Another case of not fit for purpose.

since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
The trouble with the wheeled ones is the wheels get filthy & make the cassette locket filthy too.
Also as the wheels wear they allow the cassette to drop slightly & it no longer seals properly & leaks.
Bad idea all round.

This is the reason I said not to use them on concrete or tarmac. If its too late and the wheels are worn a bodge/ fix is to put a couple of layers of insulation tape along the runners (how many layers you need will depend on how worn the wheels are)
