just received my 'Bullfinch' today from Halesowen + brass T piece, ellbow...bought the 8mm cooper pipe separate..would have thought this model would fit any MH but you probably will have to research this:thumb:

quote from my previous post as above...

Bullfinch is best.

When turning off the connector has a ball valve and O ring, same setup as a washing machine tap, so unless the ball or O ring is badly worn or damaged it cannot leak.

The Truma type relies on a spring loaded plunger and an O ring.
Any dirt/grit on the O ring or valve seat will allow gas to leak..

whichever type you decide to use you need to take great care you dont start drilling the hole where a wooden body frame baton is located.

no accurate way to tell where they are but dont drill vertically below or above any window frame uprights or sideways from any sil or stile etc

Guys,
Do you just take the regulater of the bbq gas pipe & push pipe onto copper fitting on the Bullfinch, as this doesn't seem right to me, hopefully I'm totally wrong & you will tell me what adapter/ connecter I need
Cheers
Garry

Your low pressure hose from your BBQ connects to this and secured with a jubilee clip.
The BBQ point uses your vans regulator as it is plumbed into your van pipework.

First moho 11/2013, second 11/2014 current from 09/2019.
Rather than fit a bbq point as shown in the photos above is it possible and safe to 'T" off the copper 8mm / 10mm pipe after the regulator and create a pigtail with a bbq snap connection? Thanks Martin

Most vans have the gas locker on the other side to the hab door. Do you really want to BBQ round the back?

On my LHD Hymer the gas locker is on the same side as my hab door (and awning) so I would be cooking on the 'sociable' side of the van.

Sorry to disagreee with you Andy but "most" vans have the gas locker all over the flamin' place. On some its off side front, on others its oofside rear, some have it nearside front, some nearside rear and a few have it amidships on either nearside or offside. Just to complete the picture quite a few have the gas locker inside the garage and accessed from either one side or the other. You can't even generalise with one converter, Autotrail for example have sited the gas locker at both offside and nearside front depending on model and year.

D.

Hi Andy,
on another note how do you find your Cadac? I ask this as I purchased the same one last year and have not been impressed by the build quality or design. Their Director is phoning me next week to discuss the issues which are - 1 the chrome pan holders are difficult to locate and 2 - the Teflon griddles which sit on the chrome pan holders are even worse to locate on the little pieces of metal. I would go so far as to say, in my opinion the product is unsafe and will relay this to the director.
