Any ideas what could be wrong?
Hooked up on site yesterday ,after about an hour no 240 went off
Hookup lead tested ok
No trips went out when power loss,
Trip reset does not seem to work
Socket tester shows N fault
Van is Swift Escape 09

You need to work out whether the fault is with your MH or the site leccy ...
Firstly:
Try a different hook up lead.
Try plugging into a different socket.
If fault remains - the fault is in your MH
If fault goes away - fault is with site

This may help you a little:
http://assets.swiftgroup.co.uk/uplo.../2011 MH Tech books/Escape-tech-book-2011.pdf

looking at it, the input to the controller goes straight from the EHU socket to the main control board.

I am sure you have already checked, but does ANYTHING come on at all ?
The fridge, the water heater ?

If not then my first port of call would be to remove from mains feed, flip up the cover on the inside of the EHO box and check all the wires and actually connected and none of the screws have come loose ( quite common )
If all well, follow the orange wire up to the box and make sure it is firmly plugged in.

I had something similar, and might be worth checking. I lost power whilst in the middle of a howling gale. Checked the site trips, all fine, continuity test on hookup lead all fine. Plugged it back in, nothing. Lifted the flap up on the van EHU, and noticed the socket had loose screws. I unscrewed it completely, and tightened up the wires, put it back together and power was restored.

Have you tried switching the circuit breakers off and on? sometimes they look like they are on after tripping .
Cheers, Dave(y)

From your first test it looks like a neutral disconnection. They can be tricky to find - for example a quick test with a neon screwdriver won't show them up. As with the rest of the advice I'd go with the loose screw theory. I always tighten the plugs on new mains leads as all the ones I've come across have been loose.

If you're sure your EHU lead is OK then do a check at the RCD in van across the input L & N... This eliminates a neutral dropout too.

If no power there then it's between the outside socket and the RCD.

If power is present then check across the L & N at the output side of the RCD... If power present then it's after the RCD, if none then the RCD is faulty.

It's a process of elimination I'm afraid.

All sorted, the block connector at the back of the consumer unit had become dislodged , pushed back and this time made sure both clips were secure ,which they probberly weren't when it left the factory.
