I'm a newbie
We re complete newbies to the world of camper vans having just bought a new to us Toyota Granvia.....I know that it's tiny compared to what most people have but we love it. Just had our first week away in Northumberland and loved every minute of it despite the atrocious weather.
The van is a Wellhouse conversion, 20 years old but in very good condition. The only problem we are having is getting a second key cut as it only came with one key. Timpsons have given up trying to cut one that works and I would love some advice about this if possible.
I expect that I will become an avid reader if this forum and look forward to contributing when possible.
Regards
Alison

Welcome!

If you do a bit of Googling you may find a local company which will make a replacement key, there are specialist suppliers rather than high street key cutters. There are also mobile folk who come to your vehicle but do check costs. Assuming you don't want a remote fob it shouldn't be too expensive - BUT if your vehicle is an import from Japan and there are not many of them of around (I've never heard of the model) then getting the electronic security gizmo in the fob to work, assuming it has one, could be a problem.

Random Google throws up: http://www.carkeysleeds.co.uk/

On and off for many years.
The Granvia is a lovely vehicle - our first camping van was a Hi-Ace minibus which was the pre-Granvia model. I expect that you know these people carry spares

I've not used them but they have a good reputation.

I'm a newbie
Thank you to every one who welcomed me to this forum. I'm really looking forward to exploring with the van. Off to the north west of Scotland in a few weeks and plan to spend much of the time "wild camping" at a few places I have been before. What I like about having a small vehicle is that hopefully we will be able to get to a few more off the beaten track places I remember from camping with a tent. As well as it not costing too much of a fortune to take the ferries to the outer Hebrides. So many places so little time !m

Hi from another Yorkshire based exile, and welcome to the fun site, I can't offer any assistance regards the key problem, but hopefully it will be resolved, Wellhouse are in my opinion a very good converter of campervans
