Can a spare wheel be fitted to a Bessacar 454 ? (1 Viewer)

Not a 100 percent happy travelling without a spare wheel , can anyone help with advice re having one fitted on a Bessacarr 454 ?

Unless you fancy the maul of changing the wheel yourself, especially at the roadside / motorway, you will probable call out the recovery/tyre professionals. Also the wheel taking part of your payload along with the extra weight and space required for a jack, brace, tools etc why not consider a spare tyre only.
Lighter, easier to pack, can use the space inside to store bits and pieces, and just get it fitted to your wheel by mobile tyre fitter (kwik fit have a good mobile service) when required.

We also have the 454 with just the gungy stuff to put inside a flat tyre via the inflator.
We've had the same stuff for the old car for the last 14 years so we've got used to the idea!
- though we've never yet had to use it - Touch wood!

So far we've only travelled the moho in the UK, but that has included places where we can't get a mobile signal. Not sure how I'd feel if we were going across the channel though. I do like @trekkin 's idea.

Good Idea... However, If you're calling out a moby tyre fitter... why not get him/her to bring a tyre too!...

Or are they hard to come by?

Chances are they would bring a tyre suitable for the base vehicle......a commercial tyre....
thats fine if thats what you run on but rather expensive if not just to get you going until the flat can be repaired.
