Hi Paulus
Ok well you will enjoy it and i assume its your first time.
Bear in mind that August is when all the kids go on holiday for a month so it will be busier as all the french will be on holiday too.

Enjoy.

But France is often just the gateway to places European. Start with France and later work outwards for different flavours, different weather.

Iceni has already warned of French holidays, you may have to be flexible or well planned in your destination.

Have you any destination in mind yet ?

thanks for the info but we have been to france and holland in our motorhome before and have even tugged to herbolzhiem germany and lauterbrunnen in switzerland with our caravan, might go to brittany again maybe not, might just go across on the tunnel and then hit the open road to where ever it leads

Grand plan. A plan that cannot fail.

UK is fine, but we've grown up here, EU is *different*, exciting, hint of danger.

Have you thought of turning left ? Amsterdam ?

went to wassenaar last year, this was our first trip abroad in our motorhome, stopped at a campsite called duinreil which was very good, went to amsterdam for the day on the train, the bus drivers were in dispute with their company at the time and so they went on strike from about 8.00 in the morning till about 6.00 at night but to champion their cause they were not taking any money off their passengers but still using the companys dieseil at the times that they were working and so we travelled some 15 miles to the train sdtation and back for free and even had a day out at dann haugue (pardon the spelling?) a couple of days later for nothing, maybee we should try that one here in good old gb

went to wassenaar last year,

Too late was the cry. I have in my mind a warm sunny picture of Amsterdam of about 10 years ago and we occasionally say we should go back. Mind you, we did the Van Gough museum and that nearly made us turn to drink, well to be honest we did turn to drink.

My daughter worked for Eurocamp in Brittany one summer. Lovely place. We visited at the end of season so we could bring her kit home.

That is another memory I have, feet burned on the hot sands of La Baule. France has much to offer.
