We're planning to get the early morning ferry from Roscoff to Plymouth in June. Does anyone know whether they allow you to overnight in the check in queue, in the same way as they allow it in Plymouth?

Or maybe there's an alternative overnight spot close to the terminal. I noticed last year that there's now a height barrier on the nearby car park, so that's no longer a possibility.

Last May we stayed on the car park on the right as you drive down the hill towards the ferry port. It used to be the one on the left but that now appears to be for port workers only. We had no problems with the one on the right.

Unfortunately, a height barrier has been installed at the entrance to the car park. An alternative nearby is on Route de Laber, 48.71225 , -3.99941

lat time we went (nov2014) we enquired at the desk and they told us that anywhere we could park including check in area would be ok. It appears that Brittany Ferries are having disagreement with the port authorities. aires as mentioned route de laber is close and handy.good luck

Thanks for the info. I know that when we came back that way last June they had just installed the height barrier to the car park but we went straight onto the afternoon ferry. It looks like one or the other of the aires mentioned will be best.

We were at St Pol. on a Sunday in December until someone???? :wasntme:looked at the diary and discovered our afternoon ferry? was leaving at 0930hrs.:swear: (No wine coming back)
So we upped sticks because SWMBO was panicking that we would sleep in (as if???)
When we got to Roscoff port, the previously available parking (think north face of Eiger) on left coming out of the port was, as previously mentioned, barriered as to height. We stayed on the car park a little lower down (occupying a few spaces parking sideways) but remember, that was December.
There's another 'free' parking spot St Pol. in the vicinity of the other one. Its just along the bay from the 'other' one.

I've not been but it's apparently an alternative.
