I don't do things by halves it seems... I went to Rio for a month and didn't come back for 2 years. I bought a derelict walled garden nobody wanted, when I knew nothing about plants, cleared it, restored it and redesigned the garden with a shade under 3000 plant varieties - hence my tag. I've traveled extensively and left Europe until last. I'm looking to buy a used Hymer Exsis 414 or something like it at 6m this month, before taking off and not looking back. I reckon this might be my last "big jump" and one which I'm determined to enjoy!

My plan? Get my wheels, fill her up with gear (like teaspoons and stuff). I don't want to go near a kitchen gadget shop otherwise I will not get under 3,500kgs! Start her up, pick up some solar panels and an extra battery and head to the ferry! Don't ask which ferry. That's planning!!!

I joined a while back, but since it was a 'false start' without paying, I decided to chip in now. Looking forward.

On the basis civilisation was created in Greece/Rome it should not disappoint. Stand in the Colosseum and think 2000 years ago this was the first city to boast 1,000,000 people and the last for another 1000 years. I don't know about you but it amazes me, as does lead piped running water in Pompeii.

That's what Motorhoming is all about we quite often are not sure of where we are going until we get off the ferry. Have fun.
