Sat by a canal near Beziers and well pleased with my PAYG '3' all the way down through France. Not once have I not been able to used the phone or data, really cannot fault it. It's been brilliant using the Michelin and Aires app, as well as keeping up to date on Fun!

I know from April Spain is also a 'Feel at Home' country, but what charges would I get if I now continue to use data when I cross the border to Spain tomorrow? I know I need to turn off data roaming, but what would it cost to turn it on just to use to access and app?

It's not that important, just curious :D

Turn off roaming well before entering Spain or your phone will register with Spains equivelent of 3 and once it becomes a feel at home destination it may not give you the special rates.

I thought 3 had brought in a scheme that allowed you to access for £5 per 24hrs midnight to midnight unlimited access to internet , in a number of countries France as now. Spain in a few weeks time.I think lol:sneaky:

You can either
Buy a daily Euro Internet Pass at £5 a day - just load up your PAYG account, and it'll be charged on a "daily" basis. Where "daily" is deemed from the monent you first use data that day, up until midnight.
or
Park up in a McDonalds car park and use their free wifi
or
Use Wififofum to seek out unlocked wifi.

I am driving through France next week and will be in Spain the following week. I am with '3' so will benefit from 'feel at home' in France. I have an unlocked dongle so as soon as I cross the border into Spain I will buy a Vodafone (ES) PrePaid SIM for 15 Euros which includes 15GB data and 60 minutes voice.
