Living the dream.
Quick look on flebey showes them from £60.00 to £90.00 so charging say £120.00 to fit it. Seems a bit steep but I don't know the fitting details, how far apart are they etc.

I thought it was a bit steep as there should be minimal wiring, the 2nd one should fit under the locker right behind the battery box

A lot of vans have the wiring already in place for a second battery. Autotrail for example just need a wireing harness thats £20 from Sargent....

Banner 110Ah battery £109,battery box £25 from reputable dealers-not ebay.
If anyone doing work for me said they would buy off ebay-I wouldn't use them.
I would probably have 2 new batteries-not add 1 new one to existing battery (unless it was a new one)

It does seem a lot of money. Fitted an extra battery to mine the weekend but they are next to each other so I didn't need much cable. Don't know if it makes much difference but I was told to take the positive feed off one battery and the negative feed off the other.

If you look where your current battery is now, you will find a "socket" already attached on the cable. Most likely it will have a blanking plug inside to prevent any shorting, you take out when you connect this harness.
REMEMBER..... When fitting second battery you must fit the breather pipe and make sure it goes out under the van floor...
Also ensure it's fastened down. Autotrail gave me a "bag" that mine sits in but you can also use a battery box, this is in case of acid leaks... My second battery is fitted above the first under the dinette seat..

Thanks for you quick reply tonka, will get on on order for when I get back.
it will make a neat job using the plug in harness, rather than me cobling something together the price of bits would work out about the same.
