Hi
Have Hymer B564 and electic step buzzer is not working. I am trying to remove black cover from motor but after removing 2 screws there seems to be a rivet ?. What do I do ? drill it out or what. Rivet on right hand side of black cover.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
I have a feeling that the buzzer is fitted behind the dash, to the rear of the step operating button.

I thought the buzzer was under one of the front seats and prone to falling off?

May not be the step switch - see my reply to a similar issue a few weeks ago (link below). Although yours is on a Fiat base rather than Mercedes, the buzzer will probably by near the Elektroblok, wherever that is. On yours, I think it may be in the side locker on the RHS, rather than under the seat, that is if yours has the double floor.

Hi
The buzzer is beside the elektroblok on the right hand side but I was wanting to check the earth etc under the step. Can't seem to tell if the buzzer is working but going to replace it anyway, brownhills price £14.81 +£3.00 postage, maplins price £2.79 for exactly the same thing.

You could connect 12v direct to the buzzer to check it's working.
It will probably have a permanent 12v on one side & the step switch will earth the other.

On my Hymer the step switch is outside the motor and very visible (and dirty!).

Easy to check with a meter and if so ground the other side of the buzzer.
