Can any one recommend where I can buy some new inverter to battery cables as the ones supplied are only thin and don't seem up to the job in hand. The inverter is 1500w peak at 3000w.

Since 2006
An auto electrical workshop would soon make up ones with the correct terminals.
Or I could for a few beers if you lived next door!

Ah I just so happen to have a set of jump leads that the clips are broken off. I don't seem to have much success with crimping thou. Always seems to not fit snugly or I have to really squash the crimp to hold the wire, will give it a go thou

A good contact and a well crimped joint is essential to prevent resistance and therefor heating in the circuit under load.
A proper "swagging" tool is essential to do it properly..... any good auto electric shop will crimp you a couple of eyelets for a small charge..... worth doing correctly.
