Hi ,I have decided that a towbar would be a useful attachment to my Moho, but locating a maker/fitter in and around west Berkshire seems to be a lost cause.so please does anyone e knowwhere I can get this done within a sensible distance of Newbury..???

Any good local independent garage should be able to do this and wire it too. It is a relatively simple job.

PWS in Poole manufacture and fit towbars
WWW.pwsacc.co.uk
bear in mind that vehicles registered from 2012 onwards must be fitted with a type approved towbar and I believe at the moment pws only has type approval for autotrail models but if your van is pre 2012 or an autotrail pws are the firm to contact.

I wish.!! Plenty of good garages around Newbury but none interested.. Poole looks to be best bet as recommended by other funsters..only about 2hrs drive..

I would NOT trust a local garage grease monkey to make me a towbar unless I did not want the trailer. Get on from a specialist maker and they fit it as well BUT it will be pricey. Towbars on vans are not yet type approved so custom ones are still OK. Agood welding company could do one for you cheaper but they might not know how to do the stressing for the loads.
