I noticed the euro rate had stalled and going down

I'm currently just about as far south as you can go in Africa and I've just filled up with diesel at the equivalent of £0.58 litre.

Sadly they won't allow me to put a few Jerry Cans in the Airbus cargo hold on the return journey :-(

All countries have access to the same petroleum prices of international markets but then decide to impose different taxes. As a result, the retail price of diesel is different. In some cases, like Venezuela, the government even subsidizes diesel and therefore people there pay close to nothing to drive their cars.

HOWEVER, what happens when the price of Brent crude goes up by a couple of Dollars on Monday.

The garages have the price up by Thursday.

In fact, the price should still be dropping because they haven't bought ANY of the Brent crude that went up this week.

They're still supplying us with the stuff they bought when the price was dropping.
